We are Nathan and Renee Owens, missionaries to the Caribbean Radio Lighthouse on Antigua. We recently finished raising our needed prayer and financial support. We will be moving to Antigua February 1, 2012. Our sending church is East Side Baptist Church in Thomasville, GA. We believe God has called us to fulfill our part of the Great Commission, found in Matthew 28:19, by broadcasting the Gospel to lost souls who would never step foot in a church.
This weeks prayer request: Pray for wisdom and safety as we pack our belongings to move to Antigua in February.
The
Caribbean Radio Lighthouse is a
conservative Christian radio station, on the island of Antigua. The Radio Lighthouse is a ministry
of Baptist International Missions,
Inc and
serves to assist local churches, not replace them. Programs broadcast on the
Caribbean Radio Lighthouse are for the purpose of edifying believers and evangelization. Over the past 35 years God has blessed the Radio Lighthouse
ministry by
using it to see countless souls won to Christ and several churches
planted.
God has prepared the way for us, and we are following His leading. Currently, the station is operated by three missionary couples, a national staff, and dedicated individuals. As one of the missionary couples has retired, the station is in desperate need of a new engineer and someone to maintain the finances. God planned the perfect fit by directing Nathan to receive training as an engineer and Renee as an accountant.
